Proxy Policy SME
Inside IR35 – Hybrid role
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Proxy Policy SME. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, and to participate in the banks transformation program specifically to migrate away from our incumbent Bluecoat Proxy estate, to a mixture of SaaS and Virtual Proxy solutions.
The role, focusing on proxy specific security policy, will be accountable for the following:
- Review, analyze and document the current baseline and develop the target technology posture.
- Perform gap analysis of the current baseline policy against the target policy.
- Providing consultation and subject matter expertise to the organization on Cybersecurity issues
- Implementing and maintaining an effective policy model across all regions, global businesses, and global functions.
- Researching, engaging, and managing third party vendors where relevant to support functional objectives.
Requirements
- Profile of services – Global.
- Internal and external relationships – Internal relationships extend from the local team to the whole of IT. Interaction with business and technology stakeholders including external vendors and suppliers.
- Executive & Stakeholder Management – Communication and engagement with Senior Management and other Executive stakeholders, effective verbal and report writing skills.
- Compliance & Regulatory Management – Management and contribution to any regulatory request relating to IT Security globally.
- Management of Direct and Indirect Reports – People management of up to 80 direct and indirect reports. Serve as Entity Manager for Cybersecurity Technology staff.
- Financial Management – Management of the global departmental IT Security budget, including purchasing, review & approval of expenses / purchases within delegated authority limits and approved budgets etc.
- Vendor/Supplier Management – Liaison and potential management of IT Security vendors, consultants or suppliers.
Experience
- + years of experience focused on all aspects of proxy policy, from design, testing, and implementation, to policy certification and effectiveness review aligned to our URL and Web Content filtering controls
- 5+ years experience with Bluecoat ProxySG appliances
- Experience of SaaS Proxy solutions desirable but not essential (i.e. NetSkope, SkyHigh, Zscaler)
- Scripting ability in python, perl, or alternative language is desirable.
- Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across boundaries.
- Willingness to continuously learn and share learnings with others.
