Cyber Security Specialist – Hybrid
Overview: A large insurance company looking for a talented Cyber Security Specialist to join their team. As the Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of the systems, data, and networks, as well as developing and implementing security policies and procedures to protect the organization from cyber threats. You will work closely with other IT professionals and departments within the organization to ensure that all security protocols are followed.
Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the security of the networks, systems, and data to prevent unauthorized access, intrusion, and data breaches.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the protection of the organization’s information assets.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies to ensure the systems are always protected.
  • Investigate security incidents and breaches, determine their causes, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure that all security protocols are implemented and followed.
  • Develop and deliver cyber security training and awareness programs to employees and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to cyber security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber security or information security.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Experience with cyber security tools, technologies, and protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to cyber security, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
